The Global Triathlon Awards (GTA’s) is an international awards ceremony that has been created to fill the void of recognition within the sport on a global stage, supported by major event organisers in the triathlon community. This event is a celebration, bringing our passionate industry together and recognising those within it. Global Triathlon Awards is being supported by World Triathlon, Super League Triathlon & Professional Triathlete’s Organisation, alongside fantastic headline partners France’s Department 06 & cycling specialist Ekoi, who will all present awards on stage. There will be awards for Best Male and Best Female Triathletes, to include Para Triathletes, as well as Rookie of the Year, whilst the exclusive new ‘Lifetime Kudos Awards’ will recognise those who have made outstanding contributions to the sport.

The Global Triathlon Awards take place on Friday, 20 th January, 2023, at Palais de la Mediterranee in Nice, France.

Entries opened on the 27th October 2022 and will close on the 27th November 2022.

Anyone can nominate, simply visit www.globaltriawards.com , go to the nomination section and click NOMINATE NOW, this will take you to the registration form where you will be asked to register and where you can submit your nomination.

Yes, you can nominate whoever you like provided it fits the category for the nomination. This includes products, Triathletes, Para Triathletes & contributors.

You will be able to track your entry through your online registration portal. It will then be up to the judges to decide the final winner. Please reference our judges T&C’s, located on the nomination portal.

BEST SWIM PRODUCT – Public nomination award presented by VIP Triathlete Recognition of an outstanding Triathlon swim product. This includes swim technology products.

BEST BIKE PRODUCT – Public nomination award presented by VIP Triathlete Recognition of an outstanding Triathlon bike product. This includes bike technology products.

BEST RUN PRODUCT – Public nomination award presented by VIP Triathlete Recognition of an outstanding Triathlon run product. This includes run technology products.

OUTSTANDING NUTRITION PRODUCT – Public nomination award presented by VIP Triathlete Recognition of an outstanding Triathlon nutrition product. Can include nutrition technology products.

OUTSTANDING TECH PRODUCT – Public nomination award presented by France’s Department 06 Recognition of an outstanding tech product across multi-sport.

Category: Triathletes & Contributors

BEST MALE TRIATHLETE – Public nomination award presented by Super League Triathlon. The annual award honouring the outstanding achievements of an individual Triathlete or Para Triathlete.

BEST FEMALE TRIATHLETE – Public nomination award presented by PTO The annual award honouring the outstanding achievements of an individual Triathlete or Para Triathlete from the world of triathlon.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR – Public nomination award presented by World Triathlon. An award to recognise a top-performing Triathlete or Para Triathlete in their first year, in their qualifying period between 21st November 2021 and 20th November 2022, competing as an elite on a specific race distance: LONG DISTANCE Ironman | 140.6k |Kona | 1st MIDDLE DISTANCE PTO | Dallas | 100k | 2nd SHORT DISTANCE SLT | NEOM | Enduro | 3rd WTCS | Bermuda | Olympic | 1st Xterra | South Africa | Full Distance | 3rd Challenge | Samorin | 70.3 | 2nd

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTOR – Public nomination award presented by Ekoi. This award recognises a non-athlete or individual who has made considerable positive impact to the Triathlon and/or Para Triathlon industry & community.

THE LIFETIME KUDOS – CONTRIBUTOR – Partners and judges nomination only, presented by headline partners The pinnacle honour to bestow upon a contributor, club or organisation at the GTA’s for their lifetime achievement towards the Triathlon sport and industry. The winner of this award stands to be listed in our grand Global Triathlon Contributor Hall of Fame.

THE LIFETIME KUDOS – PROFESSIONAL TRIATHLETE – Partners and judges nomination only, presented by headline partners. The pinnacle honour to bestow upon a Professional Triathlete or Para Triathlete at the GTA’s for their lifetime achievement in the Triathlon sport and industry. The winner of this award has announced retirement and stands to be listed in our grand Global Triathlon Hall of Fame.

You can amend or change your entry or nomination before nominations close even after it’s been submitted, but you cannot submit or change your nomination and entry after the deadline.

Judges have been selected based on their industry expertise, Triathlon sporting interest and unbiased affiliations. Judges are not allowed to enter any of the categories themselves and they cannot be nominated; any nominations for judges will be disregarded.

Shortlists will be announced on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Finalists who are unable to attend the Awards Ceremony can nominate a representative to accept the award on their behalf or forfeit if no representative is available. We ask that all shortlisted nominees make every effort to be present on the ceremony evening.

In circumstances where we need to reschedule due to Covid-19 we will look to ensure we keep strong communication with our guests and update them as soon as we have a confirmed plan. We will always try to ensure everyone is happy, although in these circumstances a majority decision will be taken to suit the best needs of the Global Triathlon Awards, its production suppliers and guests.
