Judges Selection

Judges have been key selected based on their industry expertise, Triathlon sporting interest and unbiased affiliations. Judges are not allowed to enter any of the categories themselves and they cannot be nominated; any nominations for judges will be disregarded.

Judges Pledge & Confidentiality

  • The Global Triathlon Awards prides itself on the ethical and transparent process we install to determine our winners.
  • Our Awards Partners have been selected as major industry players to ensure a global community is targeted for the awards recognition on a global and inclusive reach.
  • Confidentiality is taken extremely seriously, and all judges and production managers are briefed and sign a non-disclosure agreement.
  • All judging discussions & submissions are confidential and are only seen by a limited number of production managers alongside the judges panel.

Judging is completed in a two-stage process:

a) Your nominations are received via this site form, and your answers should be based on the provided criteria for the set fields requested for each award.

b) SCORING ROUND ONE: Our five key-selected judges make their scoring privately, upon the nominations submitted. Judges score against the set criteria for each award via our confidential and secure digital platform, which is supplied to them in a secure link.

c) Judges can only access their own scoring, not other judges.

d) Our secure digital platform automatically calculates the nominations based on the highest overall scoring from the judges, so that we have our GTA Nominees Shortlist.

e) The GTA Nominees Shortlist will be announced on the GTA website on Thursday, 24th November. There will be up to five nominees shortlisted and announced for each award.

f) All entrants & nominees will be contacted and invited to purchase tickets to the awards.

g) SCORING ROUND TWO: The judges will meet in London at an organised secret location. As a group, they will determine the overall winner for each award, from the shortlist provided from the Scoring Round One. By the end of this day, we will have our 11 GTA 2023 Winners.

h) Winners will be announced at the inaugural Global Triathlon Awards Ceremony held in Nice, France on Friday, 20th January 2023. The winners will be invited to stage, by the award partner, to have their time in the spotlight and receive their much deserved physical award.

i) The winners may be contacted by the GTA’s post ceremony to follow up and request possible media exposure and interviews.
